Ramadan Fasting: Do’s and Don’ts

The pious month of Ramdan is here an everone is fasting dai in and day out.
But wait ..do you know all the rules of Fasting in Ramadan ?
If no then please dont take a fast because doind it the wrong way is not good.
 

 

Fasting in Ramadan: Do’s (Things allowed during Ramadan fasting)

  • Taking a shower
  • Rinsing the mouth and nose (Avoid swallowing the water)
  • Applying eyeliner or eye drops
  • Taking injections
  • Taking suppositories
  • Accidental consumption
  • Tasting food with the tongue
  • Breathing in different scents
  • Kissing and embracing one’s spouse
  • Drawing blood
  • Being in a state of janaabah

Fasting in Ramadan: Don’ts (Thing not allowed during Ramadan Fasting)

  • Intentional Eating or Drinking
  • Smoking
  • Intentional Vomiting
  • Intentional Sexual Intercourse
  • Menstrual or Childbirth Bleeding

Things recommended during Ramadan Fasting

  • Having suhuur (pre-dawn meal) and delaying it until just before fajr (dawn) time
  • Hurry to break the fast at sunset
  • break the fast by eating an odd number of fresh or dry dates
  • supplicating (praying) at the time of breaking the fast.
  • pray taraaweeh daily after Isha
  • increase the recitation and study of the Qur’an
  • Use Miswaak (a piece of root from the Araak tree found in the Hijaaz region of the Arabian Peninsula used to clean the teeth), if not available, any other cleaning tool to clean the mouth
