As we know during the month of ramadan muslims observe fast and the fasts are not that easy. They are observed with utmost care and in no way it should break.

Well in the evening the fat is broken by  eating something . This is called iftari and more preciously its called as Iftar "Breakfast". Iftar refers to the evening meal when Muslims break their fast at the time of sunset, right at the time of maghrib adhan before Maghrib prayer, during the Islamic month of Ramadan.
We would like to mention here that - The Maghrib prayer ,prayed just after sunset, is the fourth of five formal daily prayers performed by practicing Muslims.

So the importance of Iftar must be clear to you by now. Iftar is one of the religious observances of Ramadan and is often done as a community, with people gathering to break their fast together. Iftar is taken right after Maghrib time, which is around sunset.

Why Muslims break fast or do Iftari by eating dates ?
Traditionally but not mandatory, three dates are eaten to break the fast in emulation of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad, who broke his fast in this manner.
Many Muslims believe that feeding someone iftar as a form of charity is very rewarding and that such was practised by the Prophet Muhammad.

What is the prayer that one needs to sing or say before breaking fast during RAMDAN EID?
"O Allah! for thy sake I have fasted and now I break the fast with the food that comes from thee."
O Allah! it is for thee that I observe fast and it is with Thine blessing that I break it."
That was all for , What is Iftar or Iftari and what is its importance to muslims ? hope you liked it
